Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 4 hamburger buns
- 4 slices of cheddar cheese
- 8 slices of bacon
- 1/2 cup caramelized onions
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup barbecue sauce
- 1 tomato, sliced
- Lettuce leaves
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Set your grill or griddle on the stove to medium-high heat to get it ready
Make 4 patties of the same size out of the ground beef
Season with salt and pepper
After cooking the bacon until its crispy, drain it on paper towels
Put the hamburger buns on the grill with the cut side down and toast them until they are just barely golden
While the bread is toasting, grill the beef patties for four to five minutes on each side, or until they are done the way you like them
Add a slice of cheddar cheese to each patty and cover it for the last minute of cooking to melt the cheese
In a small bowl, mix the barbecue sauce and mayonnaise to make the sauce
Spread the sauce on the toasted buns before putting the burgers together
On the bottom bun, put a lettuce leaf
Then, add a beef patty with melted cheese, two bacon slices, tomato slices, and a spoonful of caramelized onions
Place the other half of the toasted bun on top and serve right away
