Ingredients:
- 4 large potatoes, thinly sliced
- 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped fresh parsley for garnish optional
Instructions:
Before you start cooking, heat the oven to 375F 190C
Put the heavy cream, minced garlic, salt, and pepper in a small bowl
Melt the butter and mix it in
Place the sliced potatoes in a baking dish so that they overlap a bit
Spread out the potatoes as you pour the butter and cream mixture over them
Put the bacon bits and shreds of cheddar cheese on top of the potatoes
Put foil over the baking dish and bake for 30 minutes
Take off the foil and add the grated Parmesan cheese on top of the potatoes
Put the baking dish back in the oven and bake for another 20 to 25 minutes, uncovered, until the potatoes are soft and the cheese is golden and bubbly
If you want, you can add chopped fresh parsley as a garnish before serving
